This study investigates rainfall and runoff models in the Kabkian Basin of Iran using HEC-HMS and HEC-Geohms for flood hydrograph estimation. It finds that the semi-distributed model outperforms the lumped model in capturing peak runoff, with high determination coefficients and acceptable error rates. The research highlights the significance of curve number, initial abstraction, and lag time in the modeling process, demonstrating HEC-HMS's efficacy for flood forecasting in the region.
