- #2: I will be discussing some cool imaging tools to use in a classroom or library today. There are many different tools out there for you to explore but I am focusing on 4 that are useful in educational settings. As we go through these tools I want you to be using your sticky notes for questions, insights and curriculum connections that you may have for our gallery walk at the end of this session. (3-5 minutes)
- #3: I will ask audience how they use images and then have the ideas fly in after group discussion. (3-5 minutes)
- #4: Discuss what tuxpi offers, model on the screen with a personal photo, then discuss applications for educational purposes. Limitations will be addressed in this slide. Ask group to add their ideas to sticky notes for later use. (10 minutes)
- #5: Discuss big huge labs, go to site and model how to use an image like the one I have posted here. I will then discuss the applications and ask group to write down more ideas to share later. (10 minutes)
- #6: Image chef is an online tool that is easy to use and access.
- #7: Glogster is an easy to use, unique tool that allows anyone to create a product.
- #9: Turn and talk about any questions, comments, and insights to share. Then we will begin sharing some ideas that have popped into your heads about how to use these tools or things you need clarified.
