KE is a public sector electronics company located in
Thiruvananthapuram under the direct control of the State
government of Kerala.
Being a pioneer since 1973.
Keltron has been the catalysis for the development of electronics
industry in Kerala.

Within five years of its inception, Keltron had set up a production
center in every district of the State.
More than 5,000 people were engaged directly or indirectly by
Keltron for the manufacture of electronic goods.
In its early days, the company produced DCS, PLC, electronic
devices such as televisions, radios and other consumer electronics
goods.
Currently, major products of the company include mines for
Indian navy and various parts of Rockets for ISRO.
The company also produces basic electronic components such as
capacitors, transistors, resistors, diodes, PCBs on a large scale
for the Indian market.
It also provides services in the field of information technology,
animation, and web designing.
During the early days of Globalization, Keltron faced severe
crisis, and became loss making unit, due to the failure in
competing with multinational companies.
Recently the company has started recovering from the crisis and is
currently operating in profit. In 2005-06 the company made a net
turn over of 109 crores with an operating surplus of 13 crores.
To be a world-class, growth-oriented electronics corporation specialized in
providing quality, market-focused products, services and cost-effective system
solutions to a large clientele. To attain leadership position in the knowledge
industry by training and utilizing the rich knowledge capital available in Kerala,
and creating a wide technology horizon for the development of knowledge
wares and intelligent systems.

Product Profile
KELTRON EQUIPMENT COMPLEX, Kayamkulam has 3 production departments
and 2 service departments.
1. SECURITY AND SURVILLANCE GROUP (SSG)
Division executed for the manufacture, supply and integrated parts of
broadcast equipment, attendance and access control and security system.
(ADMS) Attendance data management system, computers automatic
fare and stored forward collection systems, message switching system
etc.
CCTV systems, display system for airport and railways, broadcast
engineering products, radio communication systems, fire alarm systems,
micro wave video transmission system
 Major projects executed to:
CCTV and Surveillance monitoring system at parliament, PM’s residence etc
CCTV systems in process industries like Vizag steel plant, Starlit industries etc
Installations in Doordarsan and All India Radio.
Attendance data management system in the major industrial establishments in
the country
Installed Traffic Signal Systems all over India in the last three decades.

The purchase department is connected with raw materials and spares
