This document summarizes a presentation on data analytics for software product innovation. It discusses how analytical open innovation can be used for innovative product development by leveraging external knowledge and applying innovative processes and technologies. Examples are provided on how different analytical techniques like cluster analysis, crowdsourcing, simulation etc. can be used to gain insights from data to support decisions around product planning, feature prioritization and release readiness optimization. Case studies are presented on how clustering of customer data and Kano modeling of requirements can help customize products to different customer groups.
