Rescue child saver pipe climbing robot controlling rope mechanism
Aim:
This project aim in designing a “robot to rescue of a child in a borehole” which is capable
of moving inside the pipe according to the switches. A video camera is attached to the robot with
night vision, mic, Output of video should see in TV(AV/TV mode).
The project also used for picking and placing of objects based on arm design.
i/p: Keypad switches
o/p: controlling Robo up&down, Arm open&close, Video&voice camera
Load: Specimen child toy only
Abstract
This robot is operated though control key pad this robot design modeling and prototype
of a wired controlled out-pipe climbing robot for inspection.
Key pad connected microcontroller then its controllers a motor which is connected to rope is
connected to Robo.
Key pad can control arm to hold up and hold down
Attached video shows the climbing performance of the two module robot on a vertical pipe
segment, the rotating maneuver for circumferential out-pipe surface inspection and the branch
climbing maneuver by two module cooperation.
Boare pipes will be vertical and our prototype also vertical pipe
This controlling device of the whole system is a Microcontroller. Whenever the user
presses a button from the keyboard of the keyboard, the data related to that particular button is
sent through microcontroller to motor. This data will be received microcontroller control the
motor the robot system and the feds this to microcontroller which judges the relevant task to the
information received and acts accordingly on the robot and arm movement. The live images from
the camera in the robot system can be sent to laptop. The microcontrollers used in project are
programmed using in the project are programmed using embedded C language.

APPLICATION
This robot has been designed to rescue the trapped child from the bore well. But its unique
capability to drive inside the cylindrical object (pipe) makes it possible to serve in the following
areas.

2. As pipe cleaning machine
3. As pipe inspection machine
