At the same time, powerful security settings can be applied for controlling the sharing, downloading and printing of files. Konnect Document Repository supports all common document formats (like .doc, .xls, .ppt, .pdf, .txt ) to be rendered in a secure & user friendly manner. Video Library Konnect provides for a YouTube like video sharing application that lets employees publish videos within Konnect and watch them directly in the web browser. Smart People Finder | Search Konnect automatically associates concepts with people based on the content they create & the tags used by them. The People Finder graphically displays those correlations making it easier to discover expertise and artifacts in your organization leading to improved productivity and easier access to more relevant people & knowledge. When a concept is entered in search box, People Finder centers on that concept & all people (with the connections to that concept) are shown using a visual representation & the right side of people finder lists down related artifacts & their content types (document, blog, bookmark, skill/expertise, event, etc..) in relation to that concept. Users can now filter by content type on the right hand side – for example, filter by ‘documents’ to view all related documents to that concept and the people who have submitted them. Mini Profiles/Infocard Every Konnect user is provided with a profile page which along with the user’s basic contact or business information, also dynamically aggregates the user's activity and contributed content in a consolidated dashboard. The user profile provides insight to the user perspective and helps people to identify peers with required skills or common interests. A live mini profile also known as an 'Infocard' provides quick essential information about users and can be brought up by bringing the mouse over on a users name anywhere within Konnect.
