Introduction § Large scale production of bio control agents or mass culture of natural enemies is the insectary propagation of large numbers (usually millions) of natural enemies for release against selected pests at strategic times. § It is relatively expensive and is therefore ordinarily used on limited acreages of high-value crops. § It is also restricted to situations in which both the natural enemy and its host (either natural or a suitable substitute) can be easily cultured.
