Quick Guide to Blogging and Google Docs
Teacher Comments I've "tested" using Google. Docs with my 4th grade FIG class. We're still"l earning" together, but they've really enjoyed it. Students have learned how to e-mail/send/share documents, use the tools (spell check works wonders), and basic typing skills (tab, spacebar, moving the cursor). Thanks, Alyssa
My project is going to be taking the kids bird reports and putting them into a blog.  I still need to connect up with Barry to find out the best way to do this.  The blog will contain their bird, info on the bird, a photo and possibly their drawing of the bird.  He is going to give me some pointers.  I am using Google docs now for many of my documents and that has helped especially in the area of accessing the documents to work on them from home or at school. Sandi
Barry’s Workshop Summary Time just went too fast. It is most enjoyable working with K-12 leaders (admin and teachers) who are so excited about the possibilities of using emerging technologies to improve education. It was wonderful to see 3rd grade teachers leave with a Blog related project, as well as some secondary teachers who left with existing PowerPoint presentations uploaded and embedded in their Blog, and experimenting with Google Docs. I'm interested in observing their continued progress, and would like to use some of the projects as demonstrations to Districts who are following behind you.  Keep in touch, and be sure to encourage them to contact me if they have any questions or need any assistance as they move forward.  Happy to help.
