Learning Pool Round Up

  • #3: A round up to finish off the day…
  • #4: We’ve had a presentation on the 2.9 upgrade – talk to your LC about the best timing for your upgrade and get started with the Academy learning materials to get up to speed. Think about how you can build on what you are doing at the moment with the new functionality in 2.9 to improve the experience of your learners.
  • #5: We’ve talked a lot about Adapt – if you aren’t using Adapt content yet work with your LC on a migration plan. You don’t have to do it all at once but you should be actively moving away from the authoring tool content and refreshing your LMS with new web responsive Adapt content. All our catalogues are now in Adapt and all new titles will be built in Adapt only. Again the Academy is a great place to get up to speed with Adapt and sign up to our Adapt newsletter from the website.
  • #6: Make some reference to the comments from the session on this – remind people that the Academy is a great learning tool for administrators – look out for the 2.9 webinars which we will be running end of April/May. The Academy is the place to keep up to date with new Adapt functionality.
  • #7: We are proud of what our team and our customers have achieved in the last year and it has been fab to be recognized – proud to have achieved the ILM Recommneds standard for our businsess skills catalogue and to have been awarded the gold standard by investors in people on our first attempt at this.
  • #8: We have had a quick run through of what’s new in our various catalogues – please do share your ideas for future titles with us and keep an eye on newsletters to find out what content is coming.
  • #9: Pleased to announce tha we are now Towards Maturity Ambassadors…We’re now Towards Maturity Ambassadors   We recently made the decision to support Towards Maturity and their work, and hope that this partnership will be of benefit to you.   What do Towards Maturity do? Their vision is a lot like ours. They encourage learning innovation that directly impacts results in the workplace and the power of the community – building on and contributing to collective good practice.   How does the partnership benefit our customers? They provide independent research to identify trends and good practice in the workplace that we can pass on to you They gather and share good practice and thought leadership within the community With our partnership, you’ll get a free personalised benchmark to help you improve impact of e-learning in your organisation (normally £300).   Why Benchmark? It’s a unique opportunity to reflect on you current strategy Feedback will help you build business case for change and accelerate process   How do I get involved with the Benchmark? The study is online and we’ll send you an email invitation to participate in June.
  • #10: LP Live is scheduled for Thursday 20 Oct in London – same venue as last year –the Brewery near the Barbican. Will be our biggest yet with some excellent speakers including Cathy Moore, world renownd instructional designer, Laura Overton from Towards Maturity; Deborah Frances Wright – leadership coach and a comedian! We have negotiated with some London hotels for discounted rates for delegates so let us know if that is of interest – our early bird rate of £99 for attendance is available until 31 May – after that it goes up to 175.
