Unit 1 What are the British like? –  put the words into the correct order    well-educated  (adjective): knowledgeable, well-read, learned    otherwise  ( adverb ): in other ways, in contrast to reserved  ( adjective) : a reserved person does not show many feelings,  and is almost shy    awful  (adjective): extremely bad or unpleasant, terrible, horrible. “ They're awful. They're the  source  of the entire world's problems.”   Source  ( adjective ):  origin, root, beginning.  stuffy  ( adjective ): boring, dull, starched, old-fashioned.    fair  (adjective): just, not partial to one person.    snobbish  (adjective): superior, arrogant, stuck-up    pompous  (adjective):  similar to  snobbish; arrogant, pretentious    sophisticated  (adjective): the  opposite of  naive; the same as cultured, refined, cultivated, cosmopolitan.
