- 23. Anemia - disorder of the blood that results from the deficiency of red blood cells. Leukemia - cancer of the blood due to overproduction of abnormal white blood cells.
- 24. Hypertension - or high blood pressure. It can lead to severe health complications and increase the risk of heart disease, stroke, and sometimes death.
- 25. Arteriosclerosis - thickening of the inner layer of the artery that narrows its passage, thus weakening blood flow. Coronary Heart Disease - cause by narrowing of arteries that supply blood to the heart muscles.
- 26. Rheumatic Heart Disease - affects all tissues of the heart. A condition in which the heart valves have been permanently damaged by rheumatic fever. Congenital Heart Disease - any disorder in the structure of the heart or its blood vessels that impedes blood flow when the baby is born.
