- 10. • Example answer: At AS I used Photoshop to manipulate my main image. The comments a student made about my main image was, “the image used the rule of thirds but the main cover lines text is too small and not in the key hotspot areas”. I will make sure for my main music magazine I think carefully before positioning my text and image on my front cover. My main cover line was marked as basic because it did not follow the convention.

- 20. TASK TEN • Before you start your coursework spend some time reflecting on your final product. • Reflecting on Images – What do the clothing codes tell you? – What are their facial expressions? Why? – What is their posture? Why? • What roles and stereotypes are being represented…..or challenged? Does the image conform with or challenge conventional ideas of male/female…..young/old……etc? – Is the representation of race significant in your image? • Who is being addressed (Audience)? • Who is the magazine aimed at? How do we know? • What have you done to attract the target audience? • How have you made use of both text and image to address that intended audience.
