Factors that affect climate, and the effects of changing climate and how to
adapt accordingly.
PERFORMANCE STANDARD:
Participate in activities that reduce risks and lessen effects of climate
change.

I. OBJECTIVES:
1. Identify the main factor in the increase of global temperature.
2. Interpret the relationship of Carbon dioxide and temperature.
3. Appreciate the importance of caring the environment.
II. SUBJECT MATTER: CLIMATE CHANGE

B. Materials: Laptop , activity sheets, Ballpen , video clips and graphs
III. METHODOLOGY:
A. ENGAGE:
 Review of the factors affecting climate.
-altitude
-latitude
-topography
-ocean current
B. EXPLORE :
 Let the students view a video of 2 places with different characteristics .
 The teacher will ask what they have seen in each places .
 The teacher will also ask the type of climate and where they want to live.
C. EXPLAIN: Let the students view another video on climate change.
 What is the main factor why global temperature increase?
D. ELABORATE:
 The teacher will post a graph showing the relationship between temperature and
carbon dioxide.
 Let the students answer activity # 9 page 201 learners module.
 The class will report by group.
