There are many art lessons that you can get off of the site Art Lessons When kids are in school they have a lot of creativity to let out and doing art is a good way. This site provides many art lessons that you can use for different grades. Here is an example of an art lesson that you could use for a child in second grade: Pattern Cat
Even though it is good to be able to search by grade, you can also search for art lessons by theme They have a list of themes as follows: Literature Based, Patriotic, Prairie, and Multi-Cultural Cat In The Hat Drawing is a great art project that kids could do after reading the book. In middle school and high school kids have to take certain art classes and this site offers projects for them to do in these certain art classes. This site also has other links to how to organize art lessons or how to create art centers for your students.
I think that this site is very useful. It provides you with many art lessons by theme and by grade. With these lessons not only will kids get to learn how to make new art, they can also learn more about other curriculums. For example art lessons can help with the literature lessons by tying the two curriculums together. With most of the art lessons there are vocabulary words that the kids learn which will also help expand their vocabulary.
There are many different kinds of animals that are around for kids to learn about. This site is great, especially in helping children put different animals into what category they belong in. You can learn different things about animals and print them off for kids or let them visit the site on their own.
There are many other links that you can choose from after you pick which animal you want to view. It also breaks down the category into other groups. How they have grouped birds. These links educate you however they can on certain animals. Chickadees is a link you could go to to help educate students on chickadees.
It is always great to show kids new things about animals. As they are younger it is good to use different information and sites to help aid kids in their learning. I think it is great when you also have different visual aids when you show kids these different types of animals and what kind of species they are. There are also many links off of these sites that can be very useful, especially with the science curriculum.
This site has many lesson plans and resources for young adult and adolescents. This site’s home page can be deceiving, but it is a very useful site. They have the resources separated into categories such as mystery stories, short stories, children’s literature and English literature. Most any type of literature can be found on this site and that it is why it makes it so useful. Literature Lesson Plans
Short Story Lesson Plan : used to help guide teachers on how to help expand their students thinking when reading a short story. There are other links that can help with providing activities or worksheets to these many types of stories. The index for each category splits the stories into many categories. For example for children’s literature they have categories as follows: Multicultural Children’s Literature Lesson Plans, Children’s Literature Resources, Folk and Fairy Tales, Mythology, and etc.
Literature is a very important factor in every child’s curriculum. Sometimes there is a necessity for them to get the deeper meaning in stories. With this site teachers are able to get lesson plans and resources for many stories. I think that this site is great for getting ideas on how to help kids with their deeper thinking in literature. This site is also great because they don’t just have one set of literature books listed, they have literature lesson plans available from grades K-12. There are also many lesson plans that they have for literature tied in with other curriculums.
I think that all of these sites are very useful. All of these sites tie in together because they have listed lesson plans that can be used in the classroom or other information that can also be used. These sites also offer ways for you to tie these lessons in with other curriculums. It is very important to make sure students get the best information for each topic that they need. This is easy to do when you have many resources and other lesson plans available. Students also get a better understanding of curriculum when they have another way they can learn it. For example being able to read literature and draw a picture (art) to go along with it. Putting two curriculums together makes learning a more fun process and it helps expand students’ learning. These sites are something that I would use as a future teacher to help guide me with some of my teaching.
