Teaching technique: dialogue, draw, perform, questioning;
Method of teaching: Communicative approach
Time: 50 + 50 minutes
Motivation:
Q: What is a shape? What describe a shape? How can we tell where a shape begin or end?
A: we can see shape all around us, the whole world is a mixture of shape which is distinguished
by light and shadow, by colors, by edges or textures.
In order to stimulate our imagination and develop our creativity we can play a game of seeking
or hiding shapes.
If we use an already painted surface (or painted by ourselves) with all kind of mixed colors, in
abstract way, let it dry, after that, using a marker or a pen with a strong color we should try to
find resemblance in resulted forms. If we look carefully we may have lovely surprises and
discover animals, leaves, flowers, dragons, princesses or dolphins!
Another game we could play from the other side: we write a word (it may be your name!) and
then we can try to hide it covering it with all kind of lines. Those lines may describe abstract
forms or flowers, leaves or even trees!
Playing hide and seek with shapes will give you lot of joy and put your imagination to work!
