Cyclones are regions of low atmospheric pressure that are associated with stormy weather. In a cyclone, winds blow inward from all directions towards the center, bringing turbulent weather, high velocity winds, cloudiness and rainfall. Cyclones are known by different local names around the world such as depressions in the Bay of Bengal, hurricanes in the Caribbean Sea, willy-willy in Australia, typhoons in the China Sea, and tornadoes in the USA and West Africa.
