ProQuest eLibrary is a general reference collection that contains periodicals and
digital media content to support the user's needs. This resource covers different topics
from business, education, health, language arts, sciences, social science, and many
other curriculums, all meant to answer the user's general interest in these areas.
ProQuest is a free online academic platform designed for students and educators to
access eLibrary materials
This is an educators resource meant to provide content on common and obscure
research topics

 ProQuest eLibrary requires the Internet and can be
accessed from any computer
 For Poplar Creek Library users, free access is provided by
searching on the library's website list of databases and
looking for the link that states eLibrary, like this:
 Note that it will requires the library barcode number so
have your library card ready

There is a home tab, a research topics tab, and educators resource tab
 Research Topics organized by common assignment details and subject details
 Educator's Resources tab organized by curriculum standards correlation, eLibrary guide, and
eLibrary on the ProQuest platform
 The Home page tab shows the search engine for the eLibrary, trending topics, editors' picks, and
recommendations of topics

 There are two ways to navigate the search bar on the
eLibrary:
o Searching using keywords
o Browsing the various subjects
Both choices allow one to sort by alphabetical order,
trending topics, or last updated

looking for
information

Type in your
desired
keyword and
hit enter on the
keyboard
• Various sources
will be listed

 Advanced search allows for more customization

 ProQuest eLibrary provides the user
with optional topics/subject with visual
examples

 During your search, you also have the option to sort
the information being presented
 A total number of each source type is included
 You can limit the search to either primary or scholarly
sources depending on the need
 You can also customize the publication date, adjusting
for date, time, and year

 Discover information on common or obscure topics
 Listen to an audio that covers a full-text description
 Find plentiful digital media and information sources
 Download, save, print, or email the document for future reference

 This guide will focus on the career's subject as a browsing example
 Under the research topics tab will appear the common assignments category, of which
which the user will pick

 Various career options will show, along with visuals, and we will go ahead and
click to learn more about an aesthetician role
 We sorted this search by trending

We have the choice to listen to the full-text, or, read through the contents and
view various files

 Scrolling down the page reveals multiple sources and visual examples
