Locating one's h index in web of science

- 2. • From the library page: http://www.lib.uct.ac.za/ go to “Search & Find” • Choose “Databases (A-Z)”
- 3. Choose “Web of Science” from the list of electronic databases
- 4. • Select the “Web of Science Core Collection” from the drop down tab • From the “Basic Search” drop down arrow choose “Author Search”
- 5. • Enter the Author’s last name and initials • Click on “Select Research Domain”
- 6. • Tick the relevant box for the “Research Domain” • Click “Select Organization”
- 7. • Choose the relevant organisation(s) associated with the author • Click “Finish Search”
- 8. Click on “Create Citation Report”
- 9. • Remove unwanted items from the list by checking the box and clicking “Go” (If necessary, items can also be restricted by publication year.) • The h-index is located in “Results found”
