Buckingham Palace
History London residence of the British sovereign in the city of Westminster that takes its name from the house built early in the 18 century for the dukes of Buckingham. It was bought in 1761 by George III for his wife and became known as the queen´s house.
His garden (west) front remains virtually unchanged It was rebuilt in 1825 for George IV by Jhon Nash.
Victoria was the first sovereign to live there.
Traditions in the Buckingham Palace The royal standard is flown and the ceremony of changing the guard takes place daily when the sovereign is in residence. You can see this event since May until the end of July at 11:30
How to get to the Buckingham Palace You can get there in the underground, taking it at Victoria´s Station, Green Park and Hyde Park Corner. You can also go by bus taking numbers 11, 211, 239, C1 y C10 and getting down at Buckingham Palace Road stop.
What is in the Buckingham Palace? The principal rooms of the palace are contained on the  piano nobile.  You can also see the Throne Room.
Trafalgar Square
History Plaza in the city of Westminster. Greater London, named for Lord Nelson´s naval victory (1805) in the Battle of Trafalgar.
The square is dominated by Nelson´s Column, a 185-foot- high monument to Lord Nelson, that includes a 17-foot high statue of him by E.H. Baily. At the corners of the columns plinth are four lions sculptured by Sir Edwin Landseer.
Traditions in Trafalgar Square Traditions associated with Trafalgar Square include political rallies and, each December, nightly caroling and the erection of large Christmas tree sent from Norway.
PICCADILLY CIRCUS LONDON´S SIGHTSEEINGS
Piccadilly Circus  is a famous square of London's West End  in Westminster.
It Connects Regent Street with a shopping street called Piccadilly.
Piccadilly Circus is particularly known for the big video display with illuminated advertising and the Shaftesbury memorial fountain
Under the square the Piccadilly Circus London Underground.
Houses of Parliament
The palace of Westminster, also knows as the Houses of Parliament or Westminster Palace is where the two houses of the Parliament of the United Kingdom (House of Lords and House of Commons) meet.
The Palace lies on the north bank of the River Thames.
One of the Palace's most famous features is the clock tower, a tourist attraction that houses the famous bell, Big Ben .
The palace contains over 1,000 rooms, the most important of which are the Chamber of the House of Lords and Chamber of the House of Commons.
The House of Commons is the lower house of the Parliament of the United Kingdom.   The old Chamber of the House of Commons built by Sir Charles Barry was destroyed by German bombs during the Second World War.
The House of Lords has  a legislative function and a judicial function in United Kingdom.
.Royal observatory, Greenwich.
Greenwich observatory is situated on a hill in Greenwich Park in Greenwich, London, overlooking the River Thames.
In Greenwich observatory, British astronomers established the first  meridian with longitude 0º.
One of the most  important things in the Greenwich Observatory are their ancient clocks.
Today the Greenwich observatory includes a museum of astronomical and navigational tools, which is part of the National Maritime Museum.
WESTMINSTER ABBEY London´s Sightseeings
The Abbey of Westminster  is a Gothic church of the size of a cathedral.
It is the traditional place for the coronations and burials of the English monarches.
It is located in Westminster, London, next to the Palace of Westminster.
The historical abbey the Confessor was constructed by Eduardo between the year 1045 and 1050 and was dedicated on December 28, 1065. The original abbey, in Romanesque style, was constructed by the Benedictine monks
. It was reconstructed in Gothic style between(among) 1245 and 1517. The works finished during the reign of Ricardo II. Enrique VII added a chapel of dedicated to the Virgin Mary in 1503.
We can visit Westminster Abbey  from Monday until Saturday of 10:30 at 16 hours. Adult 10.00 £. Minors of 16, major of 60 and students 7.00 £. Meter(Underground): Westminster, línas Circle, Center and Jubilee.
The Emirates Stadium
This is the stadium where Arsenal plays his  matches in London and it has a capacity of seats of 60,000.
The stadium is in Holloway, in Islingtong’s London district. ●  You can get there by tube (Holloway Road station, which is only open in matchdays), or by bus.
The construction of the stadium began in February, 2004. And the stadium could be inagurated officially by Prince Phillip, duke of Edinburgh, on Thursday 26th October, 2006.   ●  The cost of the whole proyect was about 430 million punds.
The prices of the tickets are for adults are between 32 and 94 pounds, and for children between 13 and 20 pounds.
