ManageEngine Oputils v12.3 is a comprehensive software solution for switch port management and IP address management that aids network engineers in monitoring network devices, detecting unauthorized access, and managing bandwidth usage. ManageEngine OpUtils • ManageEngine OpUtils is a Switch Port Management and IP Address Management software that helps network engineers to manage their switches and IP Address space with ease. • With its comprehensive set of tools, it helps them to perform network monitoring tasks like detecting a rogue device intrusion, keeping a check on bandwidth usage, monitoring availability of critical devices, backing up CISCO configuration files and more.

- 4. Adding Devices • Before monitoring and managing tasks, one must make sure to add devices that is to be monitored. • Devices can be added manually or can be imported from CSV for subnets, switches etc.

- 13. OpUtils - Rogue • Rogue Detection tool of OpUtils software helps in detecting unauthorized access of network resources. • The tool scans your routers, subnets, switches, gateway servers.,etc periodically and detects the wireless/ wired rogue systems, devices, Access Points and more.

Bandwidth Monitoring • Bandwidth monitor tool provides the real time network traffic of any SNMP device. • It provides the bandwidth usage details both on at interface-level and at the device-level. • The bandwidth utilization of the device displays a comparison of the individual traffic of its interfaces.

Ping Tools - Ping • Ping is the graphic implementation of the ICMP PING utility. • Utility to determine whether a specific IP is accessible in the network. • It helps in discovery of the status of a network device; whether the device is alive or not. • Before you ping a device, you can configure the ping settings like number of packets, time to live, size and timeout.

Ping Tools – SNMP Ping • Utility to check if a specific IP is SNMP enabled or not. • It helps the network engineers to know the availability of a device and also provides basic information like DNS name, system name, system type, location and system description. • Following the SNMP discovery, if required, more details of the node can be retrieved.
- 25. Ping Tools – Proxy Ping • Utility to remotely initiate a PING test from a CISCO router to another IP which is remotely located. • The router acts as the proxy for the target device and responds to the ping request. • It checks the connectivity status of a remote IP Address/Host from a router.
- 26. Ping Tools – Trace Route • Utility to record the route (route is calculated in terms of hops, i.e. number of routers it crosses) through the network between the sender’s IP and a specified destination IP. • The user can configure the settings such as number of hops and timeout value.

Address Monitoring – MACAddress Resolver • It is a utility to resolve MAC address of any SNMP-enabled node from a host name or IP Address and vice versa. • This tool also discovers the physical address of a device and maps it with the corresponding IP address. • In addition to showing the MAC address, the tools also shows the SNMP availability, IP address, system type and system description
- 29. Address Monitoring – DNS Resolver • A general purpose data query tool chiefly used for translating host name of any node into IP address and vice versa. • It also shows details like the default net mask, network type and the status of the forward and reverse lookups.
- 30. Network Monitoring – Network Scan • It is a utility to continuously monitors the response time of multiple devices and generate e-mail alerts based on severity. • These alerts are set up at three different levels and displays the different status of the nodes.

- 35. CISCO Tools – Device Scan • It is a utility to scan a subnet or a range of IP Addresses to collect the details of CISCO devices in the scanned range. • It scans the subnets or a range of IP addresses and collects the information about the CISCO devices in the scanned range.
- 36. CISCO Tools – Device Explorer • Utility to scan a subnet or a range of IP Addresses to collect the details like device snapshot, chassis details, IOS details, flash memory details, interfaces, IP routes, CPU & memory utilization and access lists
- 37. MIB Browser • It is a tool to load, browse, search and walk through SNMP MIB’s and perform certain basic SNMP functions.

Syslog Viewer • OpUtils allows you to directly log all the alerts to your syslog server. • This will help you to track and monitor all your network related alerts from a central point. • This is an optional setting and you can also choose the alerts that have to be logged to your syslog server. • Thus, as the name suggests syslog can be viewed from this syslog viewer.
