 Use TV consoles with parental controls
 Consider the rule. “Weekends only” for games & TV
 Keep technology out of the bedrooms
 Watch what they watch ..play what they play ..
use what they use. If you don’t know what they are
doing, you cant help them with limits.
Be engaged during tech time.
 Kids who are activity involved in sports or
activities outside the home will have LESS
time to play games or watch TV.
 FIND activities they enjoy and help them get
involved.
 Don’t be a couch potato.
 Create a space in the home, or a time of day
that is SCREEN free.
 Dinner table?
 The car?
 Could be mornings, or as you get closer to
bedtime?
 Breakfree
 Offtime

• Mom and dad have the username and
password.
• If it gets overused, or it seems like its becoming
too much of a distraction, its gone.
• If grades drop, its gone.
• If “respect to parents” diminishes, its gone.
• If mom or dad see or hear of anything
inappropriate, its gone.
• Mom and dad may install it on th phone, sign in
as you and receive or look at your “snaps”
anytime they want.
The most addictive app of all
Give your family a
“Technology Vacation”
