Right-sizing
Organisations resort to cost-cutting measures owing to
economic down-turn, increased competition, automation, etc.
In such a scenario, job cuts become an
unavoidable measure to scale down costs.
However, job-cuts or “downsizing”, if not managed correctly, could
have negative impact on organisations. Hence, organisations are
beginning to focus on “Right-sizing” instead…
NASSCOM defines Right-sizing as “The process for a corporation to reorganise or
restructure their business by cost-cutting, reduction of workforce or reorganising upper
level management. The goal is to mould the company properly to achieve maximum profit.”
