This document discusses the artistic style known as Mannerism that emerged in Italy in the early 1500s and lasted until around 1580. Some key aspects of Mannerism included elongated physical features in figures, multiple vanishing points, and more abstract incorporation of additional elements in works. Examples are given of prominent Mannerist artists like Michelangelo, Parmigianino, El Greco, Cellini, and Tintoretto and their works during this period.
