  • #10: AIDS researchers in Washington DC had been trying to solve a protein folding issue for 12 years. Then they created a game for people to play to help solve this protein folding issue. Due to the meaningful purpose (to find a cure for disease) they were able to get thousands of people to play the game and the protein problem was solved within just 10 days. Since then many others have got in on the act and you could play games such as ‘Play to cure’ and ‘Genes in space’ from Cancer Research UK recently.
