The Fibonacci sequence begins with 1 and 1, with each subsequent number being the sum of the previous two. When two consecutive Fibonacci numbers are divided, the ratio is approximately 1.6, known as the golden ratio. Golden rectangles can be drawn using consecutive Fibonacci numbers as dimensions, and spirals drawn inside maintain consistent proportions regardless of size. The Fibonacci sequence and golden ratio appear throughout nature, including in plant growth patterns, petal arrangements, seashell and pinecone spirals, and proportions of the human body. Artists and architects have also incorporated the golden ratio into works like the Parthenon and Mona Lisa.
