Definition • Mathematics- “the systematic treatment of magnitude, relationships between figures and forms, and relations between quantities expressed symbolically.” • Science- “a branch of knowledge or study dealing with a body of facts or truths systematically arranged and showing the operation of general laws.”

Importance • More students who master high-level mathematics and science pursue STEM-related careers. • Encourages critical thinking skills through students use of experiments and mathematical thinking, data analysis, and projects. • This is a building block to the multi-dimensional abilities required of them in 21st century education.
- 4. Role of Math and Science • These skills are used in the real-world everyday. • Mathematical methods have helped discovery in science. • There is an increasing importance of mathematics in medical science “ genetics, DNA sequences, and cell growth”

Implement math and science into other educational subject matters 5. Have hands-on activities that apply these concepts and interest children.
