This document contains lesson plans for teaching students about handling data over three days. On day 1, students will learn to analyze data in tables, graphs and charts to test statements. They will create bar charts and use the data to answer questions. On day 2, students will order fractions on a number line and learn about probability. They will place probability statements on a scale. On day 3, students will work with decimals, represent and interpret data in bar line graphs, make predictions based on collected data, and discuss reliability of class versus individual data. The overall goal is for students to collect data, create graphs, and check predictions.
