This document provides a summary of monitoring data from the month of May 2015 in Swabi District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. It finds that of the 1316 schools visited, 63 were closed, 10 were illegally occupied, and 2 were non-functional. Teacher absenteeism was at 19% overall, while enrollment attendance gaps reached up to 26% for girls. Several issues were also identified, including the use of proxy non-teaching staff and 318 non-functional parent-teacher councils. Recommendations for addressing the findings were made.
