Mecanism of The System ・Data is send to PTWC and JMA when an earthquake ocurred in the Indian Ocean region. ・ PTWC and JMA determine the size of earthquake and predict the time when the tsunami wave will arrive. ・PTWC and JMA send alarm of tsunami to some country in the Indian Ocean region. ・Those country in the Indian Ocean region accept the alarm and warn people about tsunami.
- 4. Role of PTWC and JMA ・PTWC and JMA have a responsibility of tsunami watches. ・PTWC and JMA take some data of earthquake from DART censor and buoy. ・Determine the earthquake size and predict the time when the tsunami will arrive. ・Send alarm of tsunami to some country in Indian Ocean region.
