- 1. Treatment Audience FEEDBACK A breakdown of the survey

FORM OF AUDIENCE FEEDBACK: Surveys To get audience feedback I used a program called “Smart Survey” to create a survey, I started the with many closed questions, this is because the person would get bored if it started with a long complicated question, the person would be put off. The questionnaire starts with many easy questions and gradually gets more complicated. The questionnaire focused on the deconstruction of the treatment and storyline and asked about their opinions on each part.
- 3. Closed Question Response The first question tells me if the audience is apart of my target audience or not. Since my treatment is aimed as Thriller movies fans, I can differate conclusions to the types of answers people entered. From the results we can see the general audience was my target audience but a huge majority overall did not enjoy the story, this negative response shows I had to change the story of my treatment.
- 4. Closed Question Response 2 The General feedback from the next questions is very negative, some people liked the characters however this was not enough to make them want to watch the film. This tells me the story is not enticing enough and their needs to be more characters who have a definite personality like “Lola” as she is a relatable character.

Close Question Response 3 From the last closed question answer we can definalty see the treatment had enough of the right conventions to be identified into the right genre, this tells us the treatment does have the right elements to be considered in the correct genre however the story is not to a high enough standard to be intriguing to the target audience.
- 6. Suggestions from open questions The open questions gave me more insight into what the target audience did not like about the treatment. From the answers we can see a lot of the people did thought the story line was too basic and boring, by trying to include as many conventions as possible I think this made my story very generic and uninteresting.
- 7. Open Questions 2 From this question, people tried to predict the ending of the treatment, it seemed from where the treatment was going the audience assumed a quite bland ending. The story was too “Predictable” and needed a spark of originality. I think adding a twist or something unexpected would make the story more appealing to the audience.
- 8. Open Question 2 I asked my audience to list some of their favorite thriller movies, From this the film “Inception” was mentioned the most, this is seen as a classic in the thriller genre. The film “ Dunkirk” this was directed by Chrisopher nolan who is know to make great films. I will use inception and other films directed by christopher nolan as an influence to make my story line better.
- 9. Open Question £ From this last question, we can clearly see the audience believe have a good story is the most important element of a thriller movie. From this feedback I can see I must make my story more enticing and work on a unexpected plot twist.

Overall Feedback The response to my treatment overall was quite negative, the target audience although like the main character did not find the story interesting enough or enticing to go and watch the film. To improve my treatment, Firstly I need to add more interesting characters and settings to my treatments, characters that are likeable by the audience and a antagonist that is thought provoking. Secondly I must change my story considerably to be more interesting and unique, I think adding an unexpected plot twist would make the film more appealing to the target audience. Lastly I think I need to make the film less conventional due to at the moment from the feedback the film seems too bland and nothing knew, I need to add an element that is new and exciting.
