How has the election affectedyoung people today, what do they think
will benefitand not benefitthem by the conservatives winning the
election.
Planned questions
Do you think that by the Tories winning the 2015 electionit will affectyou
in any way?
What is your opinion on what the Tories want to do now they are in
power?
Did you vote in this year’s election, if so who did you vote for?
Do you agree with the current voting system? If not why.
Overall are you disappointed or pleased with the outcome of the
election?
Findings
Conservatives – 331 Seats
Labour – 232 Seats
Scottish National Party – 56 Seats
Liberal Democrats - 8 Seats
Democratic Union Party – 8 Seats
Conservatives have created more jobs or people.Five years ago was
left with no money at all due to the Labour Party. Britain is now one of
the fastestgrowing economiesthere is. Ensured generous rises on state
pension. 9,500 more doctors and 6,900 more nurses and have protected
the National Health Service.
Labour supports the working people of Britain, and wanted the rescue
the NHS from becoming private. However 5 years ago ran out of money
and left the country with note that stated this. Therefordidn’t get half as
many votes this time around compared to the last election. They
pledged theywould protectthe education budget,restore the role of sure
start and also deliver smaller class sizes and ensure children are taught
by qualified teachers. Also ensure there is face to face advice of finding
a job for 16 plus year olds.
Liberal Democrats benefitpeople in education especiallyyoung people.
They introduced free school meals under the age of 7. Cut costof
childcare by opening more nursery’s around Britain. Ensuring every
child is taught by a qualified teacher from the age of 16 – 19 mainly. In
this year’s election they promised to protectearly years, schooland sixt
form collegesfrom cutting the budgets
Scottish National Party promising that in education more school
buildings will be built to create a better learning environment. Lowering
the allowance for students from 16 – 19 to £759.Which isn’t very
beneficialto us as we currently gain more, SNP will also try to create
more apprenticeships for young people leaving colleges?
Democratic Union Party Is a party from Northern Island. (not beneficial
to this research)
