BODEGA VINESSENS - D.O. Alicante

Bodega Vinessens continues to grow steadily in both size and confidence. Young and hugely talented winemakers
Andrés and Marta have added Scandalo to the range this year, a lively and elegant entry level Monastrell. Sein and
Telar form the heavyweights of the collection while the aromatic Chardonnay varietal Essens, with the highest rating
for a D.O. Alicante white, adds freshness and minerality.

PAGO DE THARSYS - D.O. Utiel / Requena

Cavas make up the majority of Pago de Tharsys’ production but the wines are also of unrivalled quality among the
100+ producers that form D.O. Utiel/Requena. Bodega owner Vicente Garcia is rightly accredited as the man who
‘tamed the Bobal’, the native variety that continues to turn heads. At 1.40€ the Dominio de Requena red and white
offer tremendous value as every day pourers.

D.O. CAVA

Cava producers from the Spain’s Levante region are gaining in prominence each year, with the likes of Pago de
Tharsys at the forefront of the market. 2005 still remains the benchmark year when they were voted ‘Best Cava in
Spain’ but since then the bodega has grown in sophistication creating some truly superb blends. The Millesime
collection enjoyed success last year with the Garnacha Rosado winning the ‘Grand Gold Medal’ in Brussels, fighting
off stiff competition from Champagne. 2013 sees the addition of a Chardonnay mono-varietal to this elegant range.

Outside of the D.O. Cava Pago de Tharsys also produce some pretty Frizzante style sparklers that offer great value.
They also remain the only bodega in the world to produce a blanc de noir 100% Bobal Sparkling wine in the shape of
