Rivers Saltburn Yarm Keswick A Methodology checklist…
According to AQA… Everyone should be aiming for level 3 on the methodology. It is one of the easier sections to achieve this on. Look carefully at the wording above. In Level 3, note the importance of your method describing the sequence of investigation (stage by stage), the relevance of the methods, and the fact that something original is needed
Have you done the following? Check to see before you submit… Have you described each technique STAGE BY STAGE? Have you used annotated photographs to get across your points on how it was collected? Have you given reasons why we collected the data and what it might help you to find out? Have you said how one piece of data might be connected to another? For example, for settlements, window scores and shop sizes, or for rivers, cross sectional area and velocity? Have you included something original or your own? Remember, you cannot access Level 3 (5-6 marks) without this. Have you mentioned any problems you encountered when carrying out each technique?
Is the answer ‘yes’ to each of the questions on the previous page? If so, you are ready to send it to me… If not, look to address what the problem is – it will save both you and me time in the long run…
