- 1. To whom it may concern, I am writing on behalf of Phillipa Edwards in relation to my experience working with her at Firbank Grammar School. I currently work with Phillipa assisting her with the running of the Stage Band rehearsals and as a fellow teacher in the Junior Instrumental Program. Phillipa brings a considerable amount of expertise to her role as Stage Band conductor, evident in her ability to accurately and decisively discern the group’s technical and musical needs within all sections of the ensemble. As well as attending to the musical needs of the group, Phillipa is also sensitive and responsive to the personal requirements and characteristics of the individual members. She provides strong leadership and direction with a genuine drive and desire to see students excel to the best of their ability. Phillipa has been a great teaching colleague and she has had a valuable influence on my own group and individual teaching and I look forward to continuing to work with her.
