- 1. ONE WITH GOD’S CREATION By Michael McGhie St.Brigid’s primary school.
- 2. DAY ONE In the beginning when God created the universe (Genesis one) there was nothing but darkness. The earth was formless and desolate (Genesis 2) there was just a rough raging sea to cover all. Then God said “let there be light” and light appeared He gave us light so that we can see his beautiful creation.
- 3. DAY TWO Then God commanded “let there be a dome to divide the water” and it was done. And he named the dome sky. He gave us the sky so that we can see the beautiful bird’s and star’s.
- 4. DAY THREE God then said “let there be a land that is thick and is separated from the water and can hold things on.” God gave us land so that we can walk on some thing instead of being in water all the time. He called the water sea. These are pictures of the Yorkshire dales national park also known as God’s land.
- 5. DAY FOUR God then said “let there be plants on the land that grow from seed’s and may they feed through root’s”. The reason God gave us plant’s is so that we could eat and grow them.
- 6. DAY FIVE God then said…… “let there be fish and sea life in the sea and may they live under and beside the sea.” God gave us sea life so that we can fish and look after the fish and other sea life.
- 7. DAY SIX God then said “let the earth produce many kinds of animals wild and domestic”.God gave us these so that we can have pet’s and watch wild animals beauty. On that day he also created us.
- 8. DAY SEVEN On the last day God looked at his creation and was pleased. He then rested. “ O Lord our God, your greatness is seen all over the world! Your praise reaches up to the heavens,” (psalm 8:1)
- 9. MY PLACE IN CREATION My place in creation is to look after my little sister and my dog. I wake up my little sister when she has to go to school. I feed my dog and take her for walk’s and throw stick’s into the sea for her to fetch. My place in creation is to look after animals like taking hurt animals to WIRES or taking my dog to the vet for a check up.
- 10. My place in creation When you take your dog for a walk you are helping creation by exercising your dog. Helping animals is like your job, because we were put on earth to do it.
- 11. GOD CREATED EVERYTHING God created every thing. We came last to look after the creation so we shouldn't kill or destroy it. Creation is everything that is part of mother nature, not towers or buildings. Dogs, cats, tigers ,are all part of God’s creation. If you cut down a tree, you are destroying God’s creation.
- 12. My three ways to care for God’s creation 1.Animals: If you get a dog, you need to take it for walks.If you don’t take your dog for walks it will be a criminal offence. Don’t dump puppies or kittens into the bush for they could die or become a feral problem, dumping is irresponsible. Don’t buy products that have been tested on animals for it is cruel and they could get sick.
- 13. Animals I Won’t hunt, for it kills loads of animals and hunting is one of the reasons the Dodo is extinct. It is cruel to animals and you are destroying God’s creation. I make sure my pets have access to water at all times or there could be a fine or your pet could die of dehydration .
- 14. Save trees 1.I will never cut down trees because they are part of God’s creation and they provide life.2. I will not spray paint a tree for it is destroying and vandalizing God’s creation. 3. I will not snap branches on trees, for the tree will get damaged and God’s creation will get broken.
- 15. Save the environment I try not to go in cars everywhere, for I can cycle, walk and run or if it’s too far to use public transport. I will recycle everything I can, so that it can be reused and will not be dumped in a land fill.
- 16. SAVE ANIMALS 1. Make sure dogs have water and food at all times only food at morning and night. 2. If your pet gets sick be sure to take it to the vet so that it gets better. 3. Become a WIRES volunteer then if you find an injured animal you will be able to treat it. What a great way to look after God’s creation.
- 17. Prayer of thanks giving “ O lord your greatness is seen all over the world, thank you for giving us this”. You gave us rivers where salmon swim, hoping not to be caught by bears and other animals. Thank you.
- 18. Prayer of thanks giving. You gave us the trees that provide oxygen for us and a resting place for birds, thank you. Thank you Lord for the grass that lizards hide in and that we walk on.
- 19. Prayer of thanks giving Praise God for the snow where the sled dogs pull the people around and where reindeer live. Thank you God for the rain forests where the exotic animals and smells surround you. Also where the ground is damp and slushy from the rain. Thank you God.
- 20. PRAYER OF THANKS GIVING Thank you lord for the forests where mice run free and wild and where the birds rest in the tree tops. O Lord thank you for all the beauty we see in your creation.
