- 2. Course Name : REAL ESTATE FINANCE Course Description : An introduction to the real estate finance industry. Topics include the nature and cycle of real estate finance; the money and monetary system; the secondary mortgage market; instruments of real estate finance; processing real estate loans; closing real estate loans; and defaults and foreclosures. Course Credits : 3 units Prerequisite : Course Objectives : 1. 1. Understand how finance and real estate principles are related to other business functions and its importance to the success of the General economy. 2. 2. Be able to identify, analyze, and use sources of local and national financial data and local economic information to be successful in 3. the industry. 4. 3.
