IntroductionMOBILE capable of being moved; not fixed in place or condition; movable Computing the branch of engineering science that studies (with the aid of computers) computable processes and structuresMOBILE Computing has become a reality thanks to the convergence of two technologies: the appearance of powerful portable computers and the development of fast reliable networks. In the mobile wireless computing environment of the future massive number of low powered computer machines will query databases over the wireless communication channels.
Mobile Computing ConceptFirst handy and carriage-able Laptop was invented in the year 1981 by the Osborne Computer Corporation .
Mobile computing is a form of human-computer interaction where computer is expected to be transported during usage. Mobile computing has three aspects: mobile communication, mobile hardware and mobile software.
"Mobile computing: being able to use a computing device even when being mobile and therefore changing location. Portability is one aspect of mobile computing.First Mobile Computer Osborne 1
Technology AdvancementThe first laptop to be comfortably lap-sized was the Epson HX20, which became widely available in 1983. It was powered by batteries and included a small printer. Better batteries were able to reduce the weight of the computers. The current folding clamshell design was first used in 1982.Laptops have grown smaller over the years as technology and storage capabilities have improved.

LOCATION DEPENDENT: The fact that clients in a mobile environment can change locations enables the possibility of answering queries in a way that is dependent on the current position of the client,Now this is called the real Mobile Computing accomplishing clients work at your selected place. But not yet Advancement are made on daily basis as fast and more portable Laptop made the Science also introduces Smart phones

Computers are shrinking, allowing many to be held by hand despite impressive computing capabilities, while the bandwidth of wireless links keep increasing. These changes have increasingly enabled people to access their personal information, corporate data, and public resources “anytime, anywhere”.

  • 19. CONCLUSION Mobile computing has proven a fertile area of work for researchers in the areas of database and data management. The inherent limitations of mobile computing systems present a challenge to the traditional problems of database management. As we can see, the amounts of research in this area in the last few years have been staggering. However, some problems remain open for research. There is a need for better protocols in the area of data sharing and transaction management, better interfaces, clever algorithms that exploit locality to shape the answers to queries. Undoubtedly, we will continue to see a steady number of research contributions in the future.
