- 3. ¿What is paragraphs? The paragraph is the minimum unit of writing that explains and develops the meaning of an idea. A paragraph generally has several sentences, all of which contain the same keyword or key idea that controls the information in the rest of the paragraph. All prose text is organized into paragraphs. In turn, each paragraph by one or more sentences, starts with a capital letter and ends with a full stop. Paragraphs can be identified visually by the use of indentation, or by a larger blank space between them. The paragraph is used to change the subject in conversations.
