The paper presents a new energy-efficient design for a DVB-T2 constellation de-mapper that reduces computational complexity by employing a projection-based de-mapping technique, which minimizes log-likelihood-ratio (LLR) calculations without degrading performance. It introduces two output types (hard and soft) and leverages statistical LLR assignments for optimal bit decoding, enhancing energy efficiency in hardware implementation. Prototype results demonstrate significant reductions in LLR calculations with improved energy savings across various modulation schemes.
