TASK 1
CREATE A TASK USING A WEB TOOL.
One of the most wonderful websites about how to use web tools into education is
ARTEFACTOS DIGITALES. It was created by Conecta 13. In this website you could easily
check what different tools you have to create a task with your students.
For example, imagine you want to record you students telling a story. This is called a
podcast, so there you have the different links you have to different websites to create
for free, also you have some good practices you have as an example and sometimes a
video tutorial to help you to work with the tool.
In this task we want you to create a mini task for your unit plan using one web tool.
The following chart would be helpful for you to do it.
TITLE OF THE TASK: Our final project!
AIM OF THE TASK:
This activity will be done at the end of the unit: healthy lifestyle. In 5 small groups of
students (the groups created to do the jigsaw technique) will prepare a presentation to
show their classmates what they have learnt about healthy food explaining the five
different groups (sweets, bread and cereals, fruit and vegetables, meat, fish and eggs
and dairy products) and the pyramid food (the amount of each food that we should eat
weekly). This will be a guide for the teacher to know if they have acquired this
knowledge.
Students will use the information collected in other sessions (links provided in expert
group) and the notes and conclusions they wrote the previous sessions. In groups they
will have two computers and they will create a prezi presentation. Before doing this
presentation, the teacher will explain how this tool works and he/she will present a
tutorial. They will do it in 2 sessions. If they need more than these sessions, the
teacher will have flexibility to respect their learning rhymes.
Once all students have finished preparing their presentations it’s time they explain in
front of their classmates to identify what they have learnt along this unit. Each group
will have a rubric, so they can assess their classmates. Moreover, the group who have
exposed also will have a rubric to elaborate a self-assessment. This way we enhance
the importance of listening to other classmates, respect the turns and be conscious of
their own learning.
