- 3. Schedule a SynchronousCommunicationSession STEP 2 Click on “Create Session” under “Schedulea Session.”
- 4. Schedule a SynchronousCommunicationSession STEP 3 Type the session name(e.g., December 9th Session). (1) 1 2 STEP 4 Set up “Start Time” for the session. (2) *NOTE: As a default, a session lasts one hour, but you can set the time accordingly as needed.
- 5. Schedule a SynchronousCommunicationSession STEP 5 Set up “Repeat” for the session by changing “OFF” to “ON.” I. Select “Weekly,” “1,” and “Th” to set up a weekly Thursday session. II. Set up “Ends” by selecting an end date (e.g., “On 02/10/2016”).
- 6. Schedule a SynchronousCommunicationSession STEP 6 Set up “Early Session Entry” for the session. *NOTE: As a default, Blackboard allows users to enter the session 15 min. before the meeting time. However, you can select 30 min., 45 min., or 1 hour as a setting.
- 7. Schedule a SynchronousCommunicationSession STEP 7 Set up “Room Options” for sessions as needed: I. Set up “Teleconference Options,” if students need to join the session via phone. § Select “Use built-in” to receive teleconference number, code, and PIN. - 8. Schedule a SynchronousCommunicationSession STEP 7 II. Record the session using “Room Attributes.” § Select “Automatic” for Recording Mode. (1) § Set up other room attributes as needed. cont. *NOTE: Under Room Attributes, you can preload multimedia files through “Preload Content” (e.g., PowerPoint files, video files, Whiteboard/Plan files) to reduce the loading time during your Blackboard Collaborate Session.
