This animated caption makes the show look very professional and is informative to its viewers. Animated captions are used very frequently on this show as they have them constantly moving along the bottom of the screen showing live scores, there is also scores fading in and out on the right hand side of the screen. Techniques used: Animation, Visual Effects, Colour Rendering, Graphics, Movement • Animation – They use animation in this show by key framing text and surrounding boxes on to the top of the original shot they shoot. • Visual effects are used to advertise other games that are happening live on other channels that are also linked to Sky Sports, they do this by placing small clips of these live events on the right hand side of the screen. • Colour Rendering – They use white and red over the top of a bright blue to makes crucial information to the viewer’s stand out. • Graphics and Movement – Graphics and movement are used frequently throughout this show and they change to update the information on a regular basis. Advanced techniques: Blur, Sharpen, Distortion, Rotation, Opacity • No blur or distortion is used in this show besides the opening title.
