    Expectations
        Rules
          &
     Procedures
Welcome!
Hello everyone and welcome to my
class. Our time spent together will be
much shorter than the time you spend
 in your core classes.
Time Well Spent
Therefore, to make the most of our
time spent together here are my
 expectations, rules, and classroom
procedures that will make the most
 of our learning experience.
Expectation #1
Please come to class prepared to
work. This means to not only have the
proper learning tools like paper and
pencil but, to be in the right frame of
mind to work. This is not a class for
 Internet game playing and socializing.
Expectation #2
Please be a responsible learner. Take
charge of your learning. Read the
 required textbook materials, take
 notes, and retain the information.
Expectation #3
Always bring a “free-reading” book.
You never know when we will
experience a power outage or have
 technical issues with the lab.
Always bring your
 Engineer’sNotebook. It will be your
 source for notes, planning and
 documentation.
Expectation #4
Continue to develop and practice
 correct keyboarding techniques.
 Remember to:
 Maintain correct posture.
 Maintain correct arm, hand, and finger
  position.
 Use home key anchors.
 Increase key speed and accuracy.
Expectation #5
Please complete all homework, warm
 up exercises, and in-class assignments
to the best of your ability. It is your
responsibility to make up any missed
work. Pay attention to what is going
 on in class.
Rules
Here are some basic rules to follow in
 class:
Please no food, drinks and or gum in the
  classroom.
Please respect the equipment. Report any
damage within the first 5 minutes of class.
Don not unplug or swap equipment without my
  permission.
Rules Continued…
 Yep,
     there’s more:
Do not access YouTube, MySpace, Facebook,
   and personal Email accounts.
Do not access any sites with music, or music
videos and music lyrics without permission.
Please do not download files or print items
   without my permission.
Do not ask to listen to your IPod. The answer is
   “No.”
Rules Continued…
 Andmore:
Please remain in your assigned seat at all times.
Please raise your hand to get my attention.
Please keep the noise levels down in class. We
do not want to disturb others who are trying to
   learn.
Consequences
Consequences for breaking the rules
 include the following:
A lunch detention on the cafeteria
  stage.
 A phone call home.
Any and all inappropriate behaviors and
interactions with others could result in a
referral. So, check yourself before you
  wreck yourself.
Procedures
Line up quietly and respectfully outside the
door if the previous class is still in the
 room.
When entering the room, go directly to
your assigned seat and read the agenda on
the board. Check the Know and Show.
There may also be additional agenda items
on your computer as well. Check the board
 first!
Procedures
You will Login to your computers.
Start your warm-up immediately and
prepare for your lesson. This may include:

Locating and saving files to your documents
   folder (on the computer).
  A written assignment.
  Watching a video or demonstration.
Conclusion
Understanding the expectations and
 following the listed rules and
procedures will lead to a successful
school year for both you and me.
