Multimedia refers to a combination of different digital media types such as text, graphics, audio, video and animation. It can be interactive, allowing users to control elements, or hypermedia, providing a linked structure for navigation. Multimedia is used in business for presentations, training and marketing, in schools for e-learning and interactive TV, at home on computers and consoles, and in public spaces through kiosks. It can be delivered via varying bandwidths, CD-ROMs, DVDs and burners and is extended through virtual reality.
