The document presents two strategies for relocating sensors using mobile robots to enhance connectivity in wireless sensor networks (WSNs), particularly in hazardous areas. The methods, named multi-robot island-based relocation (mribr) and multi-robot grid-based island-based relocation (mrgir), are evaluated through simulations, demonstrating that mrgir outperforms mribr in terms of connectivity time, average traveled distance, and connectivity rate. The study emphasizes the importance of using mobile robots to connect disconnected islands of sensors to a main sink node, improving overall network coverage and efficiency.
