The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a psychometric questionnaire that measures psychological preferences in how people perceive the world and make decisions. It was developed by Katharine Cook Briggs and Isabel Myers-Briggs based on Carl Jung's theory of psychological types. The MBTI sorts people into categories based on four dichotomies: Extraversion vs Introversion, Sensing vs Intuition, Thinking vs Feeling, and Judging vs Perceiving. While the MBTI can provide insight into personality types, it also has limitations and should not be used as the sole factor for job selection or as an excuse for inappropriate behavior.
