Tourism is a complex industry that involves a broad range of
businesses, organizations, and government agencies, where
each contributes to the overall holiday experience of the customer
to ensure value in the chain.
To create and run a successful tourism busines, it will require you
to have an industry-specific knowledge and information.

Tourism is the activities of people travelling to
and staying in places outside their usual
environment for leisure, business, or other
purposes for not more than one consecutive
year.
Tourism may be defined as the processes, activities, and
outcomes arising from the relationships and the interactions
among tourists, tourism suppliers, host government, host
communities and the surrounding environment that are involved in
the attracting and hosting of visitors.

Tourism is a composite of activities, services, and industries that
deliver the experience: Transportation, accommodations, food
service establishments, shops, entertainment, activity facilities,
and other hospitality services available for individuals or groups
that are travelling away from home.
Tourism encompasses all providers of visitors and visitor-related
services.
Tourism is the entire world industry of travel, hotels,
transportation, and all other components that serves the needs
and wants of travelers.
Tourism is the sum of tourist expenditures within the borders of
economic area of contiguous states or nations.
Tourism comprises the activities of persons traveling to and staying
in places outside their usual environment for not more than one
consecutive year for leisure, business, and other purposes.
Usual environment is intended to exclude trips within the area of
usual residence, frequent and regular trips between the domicile
and workplace, and other community trips of a routine character.

some form of tranport to the destination.
