Abstract
The future of industries is now powered by technology, owing to tools that increase productivity and efficiency.
Origination of new ideas considering the needs of business is keeping pace with the evolution of the technology.
However, resistance to adapt to this evolution is one challenge faced by the change navigators.
To facilitate implementation of new technology across the organization, we had applied a ADKAR model, keeping in mind
the target groups within the organization. Assuming that there are no adverse impacts of this change on the intra
departmental and cross functional working the change initiated.

Roadblock
During the Planning stage,
• We experienced a stiff resistance from some of the departments.
• This led to challenges which limited the implementation of the new
technology across the organization.
• We conducted a root cause analysis to identify the reasons for the
resistance, and found that due to implementation of this new technology,
the departmental staff will have to heavily upgrade.
• Additionally, concerns about the effectiveness of this new technology being
implemented were raised by some the departmental leaders.
WeAnalyzing the
Situation
• We decided to connect to people from the supposedly affected
departments to understand if there are any underlying reasons to resist the
change.
• Majority of the people were actually concerned about the impact if the new
technology is not able to deliver the benefits.
• The impacts could cause a lot of re-work.
Resolution
Every department was made aware of the flaws in
the existing system and why the implementation of
the new technology was overdue
Small initiatives were implemented to showcase
the effectiveness of new technology, which
helped in creating a desire to change
These initiatives provided the knowledge about
the role of each individual in each department
Training session to staff equipped them with the
ability to confidently apply the new technology to
their work
After knowing the major concerns, an
implementation plan was charted out.
Post implementation the utility check was
conducted regularly to reinforce the use of new
technology and identify any new challenges
Outcomes
~70% increase in number of customers due to
timelines
~45% reduction in wait time between tasks due
to ease in inter departmental transfer
~ 50% increase in the revenue of the
organization
The rollout of new technology in the organization
created a long-term impact on the working
Theservice being critical to customers, reduced
timelines had apositive impact ontheir timelines
indelivering quality medication inlesser time.
