Nuclear Engineering Services (NES) undertook a journey to improve its project management capability and become accredited through the Association for Project Management (APM). It analyzed its business performance and identified gaps in knowledge, capability, and processes impacting results. NES implemented a training and development program aligned with the APM's five dimensions of professionalism. This included qualifications, continuing professional development, competency frameworks, codes of conduct, and knowledge sharing. The approach improved NES's internal project management assessment from 9/25 to 23/25 and better positioned it to attract talent, increase reliability and customer satisfaction, and support business growth.
