Network teaming allows combining multiple network interface cards (NICs) together for performance, redundancy, and higher throughput. The nmcli command can be used to configure network teaming by adding a team device, specifying the slave interfaces, and modifying properties like the IP address and autostart settings. The teamdctl command can check the state of the teaming configuration and interface and verify that traffic is flowing over the remaining NIC when one is disabled.
